In the beginning
NHBC began in January 1989 in the Bayridge Community building. Since space was tight, the new congregation met at League City Elementary the following month and continued for two-and-a-half years until our new home and current location was finalized in July 1993.

Our Mission
NHBC's mission is the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:18-20. Jesus says, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."
Jesus' mission for the church is that we would make disciples. We make disciples by going to all nations on mission, evangelizing the lost and baptizing them, and maturing disciples through discipleship opportunities.

moving forward
At NHBC, we are grateful for all the ways that the Lord has been faithful to us in the past. But we are truly excited about the future that He has for us at NHBC. We are a church that desires to impact our community with the love of God and the gospel of Jesus Christ. At the same time, we strive to be missional and take the gospel to the nations. It is our goal to bring God glory in all that we do as a church.
