Worship Ministry
The Worship Ministry at NHBC is centered on a biblically grounded approach to worship. We believe that true worship must be shaped by God’s Word—offering Him praise in the way He has revealed and prescribed in Scripture.
Every element of our worship gathering—preaching, Scripture reading, singing, prayer, and the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper—is guided by the truth of God’s Word. Our desire is not to entertain, but to lead God’s people into a reverent, joyful, and Christ-centered encounter with Him.
We believe that when God speaks through His Word, His people are invited to respond—with hearts full of gratitude, repentance, awe, and praise.
Worship Through Song
At NHBC, we love music that glorifies God—and we love to sing His praises together as a church family. Our worship is rooted in a commitment to sing songs that are biblically accurate and doctrinally sound.
We follow a Scripture-guided approach to worship, meaning God’s Word shapes and directs every part of our worship service, including the songs we sing. We begin by hearing from God through His Word, and we respond with hearts lifted in praise, thanksgiving, and obedience.
Scripture-guided worship matters deeply to us because we believe true worship flows from God’s revelation and results in a faithful response. At NHBC, worship is not just about music—it’s about encountering God through His Word and responding with our lives.

Worship Through the Word
At NHBC, the Bible is central to everything we do—especially in our preaching. Pastor Ben is committed to faithfully expositing God’s Word so that the church is nourished spiritually and equipped to live in obedience to Christ.
The goal of preaching at NHBC is simple yet profound: that God’s people would grow in their understanding of Scripture and know how to apply it to their personal lives and to the life of the church. Pastor Ben preaches with a text-driven approach, meaning the content, structure, tone, and even the length of each sermon is shaped by the biblical passage being preached—not personal preference or cultural trends.
We believe that preaching is essential to worship. Throughout Scripture, we see a consistent pattern: God speaks, and His people respond. That same rhythm shapes our worship services today. We gather to hear from God through His Word and respond in worship with hearts full of faith, obedience, and praise.
