Our Mission
We Worship God, Grow in Christ, and share the good news with the World.
Matthew 28:18-20 - And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
At New Hope, we believe that our mission has already been given to us by God. While this mission is woven throughout all of Scripture, it is most clearly expressed in the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18–20). Our mission statement is simply a concise and memorable summary of the Great Commission, and every part of it reflects the heart of Jesus’ command.
In the Great Commission, Jesus gives His disciples one primary command: make disciples. Because of this, disciple-making is at the center of everything we do at New Hope. Jesus also identifies three key components of disciple-making: going to all nations, baptizing new believers, and teaching them to obey His Word. These three components shape our priorities—missions, evangelism, and discipleship—and are reflected throughout our mission statement:
Our mission statement does two important things for New Hope: it keeps us focused on what God has called us to do, and it declares who we are as a church.

- Worship: Our mission begins with worship, because worship is ultimately why we exist as a church. Everything we do in obedience to the Great Commission is for the purpose of glorifying God.
- Grow: We are called to grow in Christ. This is the heart of discipleship. At New Hope, we want every member to grow by learning, loving, and obeying the Scriptures.
- Share:Jesus’ command to go and make disciples is reflected in our call to share the good news. We aim to proclaim the gospel in our community, throughout our nation, and to the ends of the earth.
